My iPod is stuck on a grey screen, but music still plays

My iPod randomly decided to stop working. I replaced the screen about a month ago and it was working fine up until last night. I have tried restarting it and resetting it several times to no avail. The music still plays and it still loads properly into the player so I do not think it is a hard drive error, what should I do to fix this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

If you replaced the screen yourselves, and therefore are familiar with opening iPods, I would open it up again and look for a loose or damaged cable (or connector) in the display assembly.

Since the iPod still works it sound like a plausible reason for the display malfunction.
