The camera auto features not working

My Nikon D90 is basically rendered as a point/manual focus/shoot camera. Pictures get taken but NONE of the controls work. The autofocus does not work either.

First it started with just the button to recall the pictures then auto focus and then the rest of the buttons on the back stopped working.

Any help appreciated.

I tried new battery, charging again, removing sd card, replacing sd card, resetting.

You can followthis guide to replace the rear panel buttons ribbon cable, this would be the first thing id try
