difference between ribbon cables in reference to the one with a camera

i have an iPod touch 5gen no rear camera on it i have broken the ribbon cable for the for the mic and i have been looking online for a replacement in but all i can find is ribbons with a flash on then what i need to know is will one with a flash on it still work for my application as I'm not able to find a replacement with out a flash on it or even find a picture of one to reference the connector difference i have asked around different places and still no not have an answer for this question i just want my mic back
