iPhone 3G and 3gs difference in replacement

i have iphone 3g and parts of 3gs in 3g home button broken, if i switch home buttons from 3gs in 3g will it works? or they has difference in connection? have 3g and 3gs more same parts that i can switch if someone will not work? sorry for my grammar, low english

Zenia, here is what I got. The list compatible parts include the home button, the midframe, the back housing cover, the chrome bezel, the power button, the volume rocker, the vibrate to silent switch, the headphone jack assembly, and the ear speaker. All other parts are different.
