Why won't my phone switch on from power button
My phone will turn on when mains adaptor is attached but once screen goes off when pressing the on off button nothing is happening.

Try hard resetting the phone. Sometimes, when unresponsive, hold down power and volume up until it reboots (can take many seconds). Does the display turn off after pressing the power button when on? If not, then I suspect a power button hardware issue.
