iPod syncs then ejects 10 seconds later

I've had my iPod classic for two years and needless to say she goes EVERYWHERE with me. I've had no problems with her until recently. I sync my iPod to itunes and then a few seconds later it will automatically go into ejecting. I've uninstalled and re-installed itunes,I have the lastest version.. I've even restored my iPod. Please help me I'm going insane !!!!

i've read a few things. maybe this would help:

start itunes, go to "Edit" -> "Preferences" shwitch to the "Devices" tab. and toggle "check on and off" the disable automatic syncing feature, this should fix the problem.

but normally it would be enough to change the settings from automatic to manual on the "top page" for the iPod - i always use the manual sync on my iPods - the method above is more for the people who were plagued by a fast "3 second sync"

I had the same connect/eject issue

The issue for me was that the ipod was almost out of power.

Once I charged it up using a wall charger it connected fine

This was after testing usb ports, swapping cables, etc....last resort was to power it up

Problem solved
