Mid-2009 MacBook Battery Phobia

Hello, everyone.

I recently came into possession of a 2.13GHz Mid-2009 Macbook with a phobia of charging batteries. It will DETECT any battery I put in it, and the Magsafe works, because I can power it on, as long as it's plugged in, but it REFUSES to charge any battery, or boot off of a full battery.

I have replaced everything having to do with the battery. I've replaced the Battery adapter, the battery itself with an Apple Genuine one, the Magsafe adapter, and the charger, all genuine (Pulled from fully working systems), but to no avail.

Lets see if we can narrow down the problem. Give this little gem a try: coconutBattery. Post a screenshot of the what it shows you so we can see.

It seems I forgot to mention something. As of recent, I can't particularly remember how long ago, it refuses to accept power at all from the magsafe, if there is a battery adapter connected. I have 3 that all fit, and whenever either of them are connected to the logic board, the magsafe power cord won't turn green as it normally does, when i use it as a desktop. So, unfortunately I can't get any info, using the app you suggested :/

Sadly, that narrows it down to the logic board. The MosFET's and comparator logic are damaged so the system can't access the power being supplied by the battery or the MagSafe power adapter.

by

:/ Alright. Is there any way I could fix that area, without buying a new logic board?

Sadly, it requires skills, tools & parts you don't have access to. Even I don't have the tools to do it.

Alright. Thank you for shedding a little light on the subject.
