Stuck in Apple logo boot sequence

I have an out of warranty iPhone 5c which was a replacement from the Apple Store for another faulty 5c. The phone started to say "no sim" so I tried a software update which then put the phone in recovery mode. Now it's stuck in recovery mode. .Won't update won't reboot. Nothing just Apple logo and then the plug to iTunes. I was getting error -1. I can repair all phones so if anyone has any ideas as to what can I do to fix. Please chime in!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Try a hard reboot. Hold the power and home buttons before plugging in and continue to hold for 12 seconds or longer. This reboot could take some time depending on how much data is on the phone. Good luck!
