Rebuilding a McBook Air
Is it possible to build a Macbook Air? Ive been looking around at the parts to build one. wondering if anyone has done it or has advice.

It depends on what you mean here...
Are you talking about finding used parts and putting together a working system, or are you talking about getting the discrete parts, creating your own case and fitting on a display of your choosing. Not likely to happen.
Some people just find a system (or two) which got wet and carefully replace the damaged parts. But any other way is just not doable. Even here the costs may end up being more than buying a working system used.

I was looking at buying a broken macbook of ebay and rebuilding it like you said.
You'll need to use the correct parts for that given model. You can't mix and match most of the parts as they are custom per the model. The only things that might transfer is the upper case, battery and SSD but there are limits here on even that! Its a fun project to do but it will cost you time and money. Again you may want to look at a working used system as a better bet here.

Watch out, mainboards and other facilities are most probably not interchangeable between model versions. This years Macbook Air has completely different components than the one of last year.
