Swapped out battery and shows I need to connect to charger

I bought a battery for the Verizon iPhone 4, and it had 17% charge on it and than the phone died and it shows I need to connect it to a charger and I tried but it does not charge and I took it to a Verizon store and they tried with a battery pack and also sprayed in the charging port and still would not charge. But with my old battery and it had no sign of life but with this battery and it shows it needs to connect to charger.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Did Verizon try another iPhone 4 batter? If not then go that route first, then take a look at the battery connector, if you see its damaged then a new will need to be soldered on, if the battery connector is okay then try a new dock connector.

No, Verizon did not try a new battery since they will not open the iPhone. I do not know what I am looking for as for the battery connector.

As I am a user and not an Apple employee or corporate or anything but just a user and know nothing but with a dead iPhone 4 and with a Windows 7 desktop PC, would there be some way I could test all hardware and see what hardware part or parts is failing?
