Theories on What's Wrong After Doing Heat-Gun Fix?
Followed the guide on repairing the PS3 when you get the " blinking red light" and the standing "yellow light"...On one hand I got the PS3 to boot-up and I can mess around with the dashboard interface but the machine freezes (screen just goes black) when I boot-up any software... Click on a game installed on the hard-drive it freezes, click on the Sony Store App it freezes, but it'll turn on and navigate the dashboard like a new machine...could updating the firmware cause my system to not play games, it's one of the original PS3's...the one that's backward complatiaple...I'm thinking it's because I used lousy thermal compound or I was a little too carefree when using the heat-gun... maybe I unintentionally loosened up the GPU causing it to act up when I try to boot up a game...but on a second PS3 I got it to turn on for a moment then it went to a blinking red light...but as I said I got a PS3 to boot-up to the Dashboard... Any opinions... I thank you in advance?
Is this a good question?
