You have to plug one end of the HDMI cable into the Roku player's rear. The other end of the cable must connected to the TV' rear. So, this is how you can install the Roku player in your TV. If you have any concerns in setting up the Roku device, then you will have to contact the Roku technical support for placing your queries or Visit the site : http://www.roku-setup.com/

What good is a Roku XD if it can't connect to the internet? While this can be a frustrating situation, the solution may be simple. You'll first want to ensure that you have an active local internet connection. If you've reset your router and modem and are still having trouble, take a deep breath and relax. The Roku XD troubleshooting page will have you streaming video in no time.

I found the answer to why mine wouldnt hook up to the internet and you have to go find it! Go to settings, and under the network settings, there is a line that says 1 touch. It allows the tv to overtake the roku, unclick the one touch feature. After I unclicked it, it hooked up right away! Go do it now, we spent like 3 hours before we found this, save yourself some time. It works.

A bad wi-fi cable can prevent it from connecting. It’s actually very delicate and can be damaged easily. In my installation, it was in the was in the way of my other HDMI cables. It would have be better if the cable plugged into the back of the stick instead of the side. A new cable costs $19.95 plus around another $5 shipping. A new Roku Express is now on sale for $24.99 at many stores without shipping. Easy decision here.

I suddenly Had this “could not connect to the internet” problem and what a solution I found!

I went to my router's advanced settings page, clicked on “Set the DHCP name special character state”, clicked on “Allow Special Characters” and rebooted. All my Roku devices now connect flawlessly.

I hope this helps, especially those with CenturyLink modem/routers.
