cpu running slow after spill that didnt apear to damage logic bo

Hi, I have a newer macbook air that got water spilled on it. the spill damaged the keyboard, but logic board was completely clean and water didnt apear to reach past the keyboard's taped backlight.

I repalced the top case with the keyboard but the computer is running unusably slow and Kernal_task is using all the power. I tried smc reset already and am wondering if theres a way of knowing if it's a sensor. I installed istat and all temperatures are normal.

I would like to attach a picture if the voltages as reported by istat but cant upload.

Can anyone help me with the laptop speed?
