Hello! I this problem with a Dell Precision M65 PP04X, servicetag FQJKS2J, express service 64256737819. Some company threw them cause they were too old for them. For me works great. I don't need fancy computer, but this one is bios and disk password protected. Please anyone can help me to unlock? Should i open it, take out some battery? Please if you can give me the solution or have any specific link with solutions let me know. Thank you

Thank you guys for answering. I found the code for dell assistance program and calculated the passwords by service tag. Bios and hard password, and disabled them from bios.

The CMOS battery is located under the keyboard. With the main battery and charger disconnected, disconnect the battery pigtail from the motherboard, then short the to pins on the motherboard for 30 seconds. This should clear the BIOS password. You hsould htne be ableto remove the disk password from within the BIOS menu. The link below shows how to remove the keyboard.

Joe, I do not think so. There are no more jumpers on the motherboard. The password is actually stored on a special NVRAM chip along with some other information about the laptop (Service Tag, Owner Info, Asset Name, etc.)" Supervisor/bios Password (svp). this requires reading the eeprom chip (8 leg or 14 leg) with an electronic device by using another pc's serial port or by paperclip method if model type available. Hard Drive Password (hdp). this is usually tied to svp, but not all the time. it requires special software and a library of known manufacturer's password.
