Erased my data, now stuck with apple logo. No internet?

Stay in Singapore but gifting my airbook 11" to my daughter in US. Erased my data but as a result only mac logo comes on.

Inserted USB flash drive which was provided with a backup copy of the MacAirfor reinstallation. Followed instructions but no internet connection & only a blank screen with apple logo! Help

Options

Plug in a ethernet cable from your router for a faster load.

Start up holding down the R and option key and do a reinstall from Apple. Here's how: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT4718

No Ethernet slot in my MacAir 11 (July 2011)!

On the website help you sent it says also that Internet connectivity is not possible on my WEP router! Any way around this problem???
