no response touch screen

I have tried everything as far as rebooting cleaning screen at a loss, I have power and can see everything but screen doesn't react to touch, can't swipe to unlock and when I can get it to up lock I touch the icons and it does nothing. was working just fine and all of a sudden stopped.
