Hello!
I'll try to make this as brief as possible. Bought a phone from eBay, digitizer seems new but sometimes touch doesn't register and sometimes phone types by itself or becomes very spastic. I open up the phone and the metal plate covering the LCD flex cables are missing. Does this missing part have anything to do with my problem?

You should install a new EMI shield, I am 90% sure that the reason for the ghost touching.
