My brand new eightarc fusion microphone jack doesn't work when I put in my microphone when I try to talk to my friends. Any tips on how I can fix this?

Check and make sure your microphone is compatible. Try cleaning the headphone jack.

You have not provided the name of device from which you are playing music.
Are you using laptop or computer then there may be problem with sound drivers or headphone jack port of device. First make sure that your computer have up to date sound drivers and the port is working correctly that you are using.
