Yes, you can replace it, but you will need to find the part. I have tried looking, but I can't find anyone that is selling the digitizer (glass panel). If you do find someone that is selling the digitizer, then you can use one of the most recent iMac display repair guides and follow that. The following link is one of the most recent repair guides for display repairs, but there could be another one that comes out soon.

iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display Display Replacement

Hope this helps.

I got one of these 27" Apple Cinema Display monitors on a great deal but with a broken front glass cover. I couldn't locate any new replacement, but I found a used replacement glass source here: http://amzn.com/B00CMNDBBI

I've purchased it but not yet installed it, so I can't tell you how intense the repair will be. I will post a follow-up when I perform the repair. On close inspection of the used cover glass that I received, it passes my knock-off check and appears to be a genuine Apple cover glass from a presumably otherwise broken display. It arrived in good (not excellent or new) condition. No scratches, but will definitely require some careful cleaning of smudge marks, fingerprints and other dust and debris.

By the way, there is no digitizer on my (or as far as I know, any) Apple Cinema Display; digitizer implies it is a touch panel, which mine certainly is not. This is just a piece of glass with metal mountings adhered to its surface. So there are no electronics or ribbons to attach to this cover glass.

Agreed. However, if you are still under AppleCare Warranty, I would take it to an Apple Store first to see if they would replace it for free. I always do this and if they can't help me then I turn to DIY measures. Good luck!
