hi everyone love this site great place to be problem i have is a friend gave me a recently repaired iphone 5c it had cracked front with coulered lines going from top to bottom so intially i thought just a screen replacement so ordered new 1 when opening device there was 2 plates missing 1 that protects the 3 flex cables and another beside battery so quite clearly whoever done job before never replaced these parts anyway fitted new screen and same coulered lines down screen could this be a faulty screen to or is this more sinister maybe device damaged due to parts not being fitted the dillema im having is im having problems returning screen to the ebay seller as theye arent replying to me so not sure wether to buy new screen again any advice would be great and is there any way of testing these parts of phone without a screen thanks again

hi

did you have a good look at the connectors on the logic board to make sure there is none missing or bent or broken ? microscope or magnifying glass

as people use steel pry tools and can break them

as for the missing covers

i test phones all the time with them not fitted

also some phones have to have the screen fitted to the chassis of the phone to get the screen to work properly

i checked connectors with mag glass all looked fine and fully fitted screen to chassis aswell open closed about 10 times im doing it as a favour so as i said my dillema is buying another screen just now and is there any other way to test the device connectors without a screen prob silly question : )

i know its fine to test without this plate on it but it has been fallen ontop of after repair and my worry was its been damaged more due to this plate not fitted

im very sorry for wasiting your time but upon further inspection there is some differences in connector inside phone possibly some pins missing will this require a new logic board
