Pre screen replacement black area.

I am going to do a screen replacement on my ipad mini and i dont know if i need a new lcd or now. The glass is shattered and there is a big black are in the middle of the screen. Do you guys think that i could just put the glass and stuff or i need lcd too?

Yes, it sounds like you need a LCD as well. Remember, before you disconnect the lcd and digitizer ribbon cable, disconnect the battery first. This is very important on iPad Mini's to avoid blowing a sensitive fuse/filter.
