Black screen after login?

So when I start up my laptop, everything seems fine. When I log in it takes a while whit the "welcome" loading. When it finally loads, the screen is black! Anything that pops up shows (like task manager and whatnot) but other than that it's just black. I can see my cursor and it isn't blinking. Help! It's a really frustrating thing and I've tried unplugging it, taking out the battery, holding the power and all that, still no desktop screen. This just randomly happened out of no where. One day I start it up no problem, the next it didn't work. Thank you in advance.

Chosen Solution

1. Plug in a second monitor just to test and see what is actually happening.

2. bring up the windows run bar, type cmd in the box.

3. type control Ncpa.cpl users inside the command window.

4 navigate to display options and set defaults.

Let me know if this helps?

Same thing happened to me. Same model, b7t running windows ten. I waited a while and the cmd prompt opened. After awhile, it was working. No idea. Your best hope is a recovery drive. If you don’t have a usb, your dead. Sorry for the death.
