MacBook Pro shuts down when applying pressure on Case or Keyboard

Hi There,

lately my Macbook Pro turns off when applying little pressure on the area around the trackpad or the Keyboard.

Sometimes it even turns off, when placing it on a table softly or carrying it around.

Stationary it runs smooth and perfect for hours.

Can anyone figure out, what might be the problem?

Thank you so much in advance!,

Lucas

Sounds like your battery has swelled. Time for a new battery.

Thank you for your answer. Those shutdowns even happen, when the Macbook is plugged in or doesnt this affect the circumstances at all?

Pressing on the case is compressing things internally. It makes no difference if the system is powered by battery or AC adapter here. I had one user who always typed hard and when he hit the inner keys the system would wink out. After opening the system and loosening things up the problem went away. Only when the bottom case was on did it mess up.
