My screen is unresponsive after changing screen?

Hi, I just recently replaced my iPhone screen because a ribbon broke. The screen looks perfect and the home button and lock button work, but the screen is unresponsive. I'm trying to restore it but an unknown error (16) keeps popping up and then it stops. I looked up the error and found that it could be a battery issue or something on the board, I took the battery out and did all that, but there error keeps occurring. i bought another digitilizer screen, could that fix it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Matthew,

When you say the screen is unresponsive, do you mean that it does not respond to touch at all? If this is the case, then it is possible that your screen has a defective digitizer. Your replacement screen that you have may fix the issue if that is the case, and if you are not extremely unlucky and got another defective part. If that does not solve your issue, you may have something else wrong here. The error code does not sound like it is relevant to this issue. Please let us know how things fare with your replacement screen!
