Front screen replacement iPhone 5c

I purchased a replacement screen for an iPhone 5 c. The old screen has one vertical and one horizontal ribbon to attach back to the mother board. The new replacement has two horizontal strips. They do not match.

Any suggestions?

If the connections are not exactly the same then you have bought the wrong screen/been sent the wrong screen. Care to take a picture and i'll tell you which is which

Hello,

Answering for a teammate, Shaina! The next thing you will need to do is disconnect the connectors and clean them with like a 91% alcohol, then try it again, if this doesn't fix your problem, then you may have a bigger issues. Like minor logic board damage in the connectors area, which can happen if the phone was ever dropped. Inspect the connectors for any micro fractures or blown resistors and diodes, you will need a microscope or Superman's vision. If you fine and of this, then lets hope you are a micro soldering specialist.

If this helps please accept and mark me up, Good Luck!

This ins't a valid solution for this problem, johnjmccombs says the ribbon cables and connectors don't match up, I don't think any amount of cleaning or microsoldering can fix that.

Hi johnjmccombs! Looks like you may have the wrong part. It would be really helpful if you could post a couple photos of the two parts, just so we can be sure, but if the new one doesn't match your old one, you're probably out of luck.

Take a look through our display assembly guide, and try to follow it in reverse. If the connectors don't hook up to their spots on the logic board, try to contact the seller you purchased from and get a replacement part, or a refund. Best of luck!
