iPod Classic 6th Gen White Screen after LCD replacement

I bought an iPod Classic 6th Gen off eBay and it had broken pixels. I opened the iPod up bought an LCD and replaced now I have a white screen, I thought it might be a faulty screen so I bought another and yet again I have a white screen

I can hear the click wheel, even play songs and it still comes up in my computer etc but stuck with this white screen

When I try to put the original LCD with broken pixels it no longer works and is completely black

On the logicboard the clip that seals shut the LCD broke off. Is this a factor why I am getting a white screen or is it chance I happened to buy 2 faulty screens ?

I have restored iPod and stuff but still nothing. What do you suggest do I go out and buy yet another screen ?
