replaced battery, not detecting new battery

had old battery with 1264 cycles, and condition to "replace now". purchased new battery, installed, now there's no battery detected. Attempted to reset SMC multiple times, reset NVRAM as well. no change, cycle count is 0.

any other tips?

also, after logging in, time/clock is reset to 2000 and wifi's are all cleared.

Junk battery, if you spent less than fifty bucks you probably got trash. Return and get a new one. I can tell you if this came off of Amazon or eBay it will probably not work, or work just long enough to make it to whenever you can file a claim.

Actually, it was from ifixit. Unfortunately... They have provided some possible solutions that I will have to attempt. Will keep updated.
