What do I do if my phone does turn on at all?

When I turn the phone on, the screen shows the HTC logo but then vibrates 5 times and then the screen turns black and doesn't go anywhere from there.

I replaced a cracked display assembly, after re-assembly unit will not turn on. Plugged into charger and computer with no response. Where do I go from here?
