Won't charge after Dock Connector change

Today I changed my Dock Connector, because my microphone wasn't working anymore.

After the replacement I had several issues: no service and no charging was possible.

After a hard reset the service came back on, but the charging problem is still persistent.

I hope you can give me some advice for what I can look into, would be a shame if this problem can not be solved.

Regards

Kurt

Sounds like you missed a grounding screw.

What I forgot to mention, if I turn the phone of and plug it in, the phone is booting up (but not charging)

Just now I attached the old connector back and it charged. Seems like I got a faulty spare part.. I will mount the old connector back and order a new one, maybe I have mor luck next time. The reason why I changed it in first place was a faulty microphone.. At least I gathered some expierence in iphone repair..

Yea sounds like a faulty part

A grounding screw wouldn't cause this issue.
