My iPod wont charge

When i plug in my iPod it says battery too low. please wait and wont go past that. ive left it on the charger for 24 hours and still nothing. whats wrong with my iPod?

Need to order NEW battery...900mAh should do the trick...

does it show the sick iPod when you power it on (without the usb cable plugged in) ??

if this is the case - i think the hard drive died, i searched the internet a few days ago with the same problem. in most cases was the hard drive dead - the one i've got here has also a totally dead hard drive (no spinning sound/vibration)

I had the same thing with my Gen 5 Video. I went from an almost full charge to completely discharged pretty quickly. I use it everyday and have never seem that before. I plugged it in with the wall charger that came with my iPad and left it overnight. I thought it was working because the indicator said it was charging, but it never did. I put in on my Kensington Speaker dock and it charged back up. I'm hoping the discharge was a fluke, and the lack of charge was because the iPad charger was not compatible. I'm praying mine lasts until the new iPod touch is introduced....
