Phone sceen stays black even though flex cable is replaced?

Having read that a flex ribbon replacement might be the cause of my phone screen going static I changed the flex cable.

Now the phone stays black when powered up. Sometimes I see the ericsson title flickering up then it flickers back to black. I'm so dissapointed. What can be the problem?
