Epson Stylus NX110 will not recognize new cartridge?

I replace the yellow ink cartridge, but the printer will not recognize the new cartridge. I have tried EVERYTHING. Took out the yellow and reinserted it multiple times. Turned off the printer and let it sit overnight on OFF multiple times. Tried to have it look for the cartridge with the yellow slot empty multiple times. I am lost now--and i have no printer. PLEASE HELP! Thank you.

da der Kundendienst von Epson mir auch nicht weiterhalf (erhielt Kommentare, die mit der Sache überhaupt nichts zu tun hatten), habe ich das Gerät zurück gegeben
