If I remember Apple had foam blocks between the case and the foot & handle metal loops. I also remember there being a block of poly foam ~4" under the feet & handles (no corner blocks).
Apple used sheets of cardboard along the sides so the system would not shift and offer structure for anything put on top & the sides.

They get damaged when shippers drop them on the handles. Fool them and get a box that has plastic handles built in on the ends of the box so they leave it flat. I've also used 2 x 4 's inserted into the handles with flat pieces of card board stuffed inn so there's no play or gap. I have also placed 2 x 4 's tapped to the hight of the outside of the ends that slightly longer so that if the box is dropped it will impact on the ends of the boards rather than the handles.

How are you shipping them now? Cardboard box with styrofoam packing peanuts or blocks?

i use a cardboard box and I use 8x 90 degree foam corner protectors for the edges and since the box is a little bigger I stuff sides with peanuts but when some customers are still getinng the handles smashed in. What is the best way to pack?
