Why is my hard drive not recognized?

I replaced the Hard Drive but now the system won't recognize it. I checked all the connections. They seem to be okay. The HD is formatted for mac.

Have you formatted the Hard Drive using Disk Utility? We have a hard drive installation guide that may help you. If Disk Utility does not recognize the Hard Drive, then you may have a bad Hard Drive cable or you received a faulty Hard Drive.
