Why is my phone not responding when I touch it?

When I attempt to type a message or open an application, sometimes my phone becomes unresponsive. I've cleaned the screen and restarted the phone multiple times, with no success. What could be the issue here?

The issue could be a bad touch screen. You can follow this guide to replace it. If replacing the screen does not fix the issue, then you might have a bad motherboard and need to replace it.
