D-Pad going left without it being pressed?

Ok, so as the question states, the D-Pad in my 3ds just continuously goes left ALL the time. i pulled the system apart, changed the contactor pads underneath the buttons, and the D-Pad, cleaned all crud in the system, and even checked over the whole mother board and nothing is missing, nothing is lose, I even tried disconnecting the D-Pad and the contactor pads all together and it still continued to happen?! Any ideas or help? Nintendo won't take the device, it's out of warranty, and it's been opened.

Thank you.

The first thing to do is check to see if the analog stick works. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's a D pad problem or an analog stick problem.

You might have bad buttons on the motherboard or it could be just a bad motherboard. I've seen both of these cause similar problems to what you are experiencing.

I'm happy to take a look at it for you if you can't figure it out.
