Why does my disk tray not open?

Disk tray is not opening and I do not know why.

Options

Make sure you DVD player is powered on, that there is no obstruction in front of the disk tray.

mine too has been playing up so I took the cover off to have a look inside and a small rubber belt fell out which had obviously snapped at some point so maybe this has happened to you.
