My camera is still taking pictures but the flash is not working?

I've recently attempted to take a picture with my Nikon D90 using the camera's flash, but the flash is not working. The camera still takes photos fine without the flash though. Upon visual inspection of the flash, the light bulb in the flash seems a bit cloudy. What could be the issue?

The first thing your going to want to check is how much battery life the Nikon D90 has maybe the camera just needs to be fully charged. A non fully charged battery can sometimes cause the flash to not work. Do to your visual inspection it is leading to assume that the light bulb for your flash has burnt out though.
