Can the hard drive be replaced after step 12?

I want to replace the hard drive with an SSD (Solid State Drive). It looks possible after the Wi-Fi antenna plate is removed however you come back to that later during your guide.

Can it be unscrewed and slid out at that point or is further disassembly required?

MacMiniColo's writeup on the server version shows them pulling the top drive out without removing the logic board:

I was wondering the same thing. Judging by the 2nd pic, of 12 step, the hard drive almost don't have space to slide out, since the memory slots and the board, is blocking the way for the drive, and also seems that the hdd don't have much space to pulled up.

Let's wait for iFixit's staff last word on this. :)

Yeah, I thought the same thing it doesn't look like the drive would come out however it's possible the other side has space below so the visible side could be angled up and then out.
