iPhone 4 not recognized
My iphone charges but it doesn't show up on the computer. I can't download photos to computer.

Hi,
If you connect the phone to this laptop for a first time, maybe you need drivers for it.
Open "Device manager" and check for unknown device. You must have - Portable device>Apple iPhone. If not, install iTunes, this will fix the problem.
If you have already installed iTunes on this laptop and you have an Apple device in the device manager, then try on another PC and with a different cable (to be sure where is the problem).
Finally, if the phone can't be connected (with other PC, with a different cable), this means that you have a hardware problem - maybe your Dock connector flex cable is the problem.

You can try first only to reconnect the cable to the mother board like in step 9, without removing the battery (only disconnect it first).
And finally, you must change the flex cable.
