Full screen replacement. Home button and touch function non responsive

Hey I've done a full screen replacement amongst other things after shattering the old one.

All ribbon connections seems to be joined and located snugly.

The colours on the new display are full but there is no touch function at all as well as no home button response.

I've disconnect the battery and reconnected the terminals for the screen. After rebooting the phone it had evenly spaced vertical lines running down it. Is the screen defected?

I bought the screen complete with the home button and front facing camera installed. Acquired from this website. One of the ribbon tabs had half ripped foam on the top of the connection. Where the other 2 were blank metal. I'm only bringing this up because its different compared with the battery that came from this website which had a yellow removable strip.

Thanks for any input I just want my phone working again

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I find this a common problem in the 5c as the digitzer connector becomes like a banana shape so when it's pressed down only one side is connected even tho it looks like it's fully pressed down..

I sort this out by gently bending the connetor down so it's not straight but slightly bent in the other direction..

Then try and connect it to the motherboard you should hear it fitting with a nice click

Thanks for the tip. Now i've got that nice snap. I've tried a few times but still non responsive screen and home button even while pressing lightly on the connection with the 'spudger' (plastic tool) with the phone on and the screen slightly raised.
