My space bar quit working. Bought keyboard from Amazon-about $30. Am done and it works so declaring victory. Unfortunately, I took no pictures. The keyboard is stuck/glued on. It seems crude and brutal but slide a screwdriver or similar under the edge of the keyboard and pry it off. You will destroy it. There are 2 connecting ribbons, one wide, one narrow. Difficult to see where they go, but--take the back off. You will need a special tool to remove the center screw-a Torx 7 security(has a hole in the center-kit cost $6 from Amazon). Loosen the battery(the largest black thing) and move it towards the edge. The two ribbons come up at about the middle of the center edge of the battery. Wiggle the keyboard to see which ones they are. Unclip them and remove the old keyboard. Slide the new keyboard ribbons in and connect them-it is fiddly. Pull as much of the ribbon as you into the back of the laptop do the keyboard lies flat. Replace the back. You will need to secure the keyboard to the laptop. I used glue around the edges and used the foam packaging sheet that came with keyboard to keep the keyboard in place while the glue dried, and closed the laptop with the foam inside. Hope this helps. Took me 3 hours--could do the second one in 20 mins.
