Can a distorted screen be replaced?

I accidentally picked up my laptop by the screen, and now the spots where my fingers were display distorted images and colors.

Great question Spencer!

A distorted/broken screen can be frustrating and replacing it should fix your issue. To begin fixing the problem, separate the broken LCD screen from the plastic casing. This is done by removing several screws hidden behind rubber protectors and along side brackets. Once the LCD screen is free from the plastic casing, two cables should be disconnected to completely separate the screen from the laptop. The replacement screen may be reinstalled by reversing your steps. For further disassembly/replacement information, the W350I device troubleshooting page will be helpful.
