truck cranks as soon as the positive battery cable is connected

initially truck would start...made a whinning noise when turning the key...replaced the starter and problem started with truck cranking as soon as the battery cable was connected...replaces the relay solonode and same thing happens...91 f150 4.9L

Sounds like she is basically hot-wiring herself. Make sure you did not accidentally wire it wrong. Your constant power should be coming from the ignition switch,. There isn't much to the wiring on these old fords. Locating the problem should only take a few minutes.
