3g module upgrade later?

Can 3g be added later, or is the logic board different in the 2 models?

Well, a " way around " would be to to purchase a pocket UMTS wifi modem. The modem has an seperate battery and that's where the sim ( micro ) card is being inserted. The 3G is arriving at the modem and from there transferred via WiFi to the iPad. Works pretty fine and is not that expensive. Additional this solution could solve the one or other tethering issue, question, request.
