White screen, external in MIRROR works.

What can be the possible problems as the internal screen only shows the backlight, no data. But with an external monitor on the minidisplay port in MIRROR mode i see everything just fine. I replaced a bad DC input module and thought i may have a LVDS problem, although i have checked it a couple of times. Any thoughts?

If the computer's booted, and you're getting a functional desktop on the external display, then the problem is related to the standard display. I would recheck the display cable connection (and the cable routing) at the logic board. It's a tight fit and a short cable, and there's really only one right way to fit it through the hinge.

You may have to replace the display cable, which is a fairly ugly job. As an experiment, try launching Photo Booth and see if the camera mounted at the top of the display still works. The cable assembly that carries the camera signal is joined with the display cable, so damage to one may appear in the other.

The Airport/WiFi and Bluetooth antenna cables also go through the hinge; do those functions work correctly? Hinges do tend to loosen up through repeated use, and that increases the risk of cable damage. It might be worth checking the left and right hinges, while you're at it.

I have checked the camera, bluetooth, and wifi, which all work as normally. I will have to check the lvds cable connection at the logic board again. Just in case i also ordered a new lvds cable. Thanks for the added tips about the camera and etc. It was working before the magsafe dc board change so it is highly likely to be the connection. i was very careful with all the wires and connectors, maybe to careful?

Thank you again for your help, much appreciated.

As I say, they're fiddly connections. The cables are *just barely long enough* to fit if you use Apple's exact routing, so it's a good idea to follow the take-apart guides step-by-step, so that the cables go back in the right place (and sometimes, in the right order). You want the cables and connectors to be under as little strain as possible. Good luck!
