LCD burnt issue after digitizer swap

So long story short. On my iPad air I had swapped the Digitizer and when I was putting the LCD back into the logic board it was working but due to the design it kept popping out. Upon a few tries I finally got the screws in for the LCD and digitizer flex but now the screen won't come on even after multiple soft reboots. Upon further inspection, the lcds flex connector seems to be burnt on the connection. My question is will a new LCD remedy this issue despite the board being slightly charred as well. Thank you guys.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Wow, Charred? Well the simple answer is maybe. Only way to know for sure is order one and see if it works, if not just return the part. The main concern however is how it got that hot to begin with. Hopefully there is no board damage casing it to get hot.

Yea Idk how this happened. I've done repairs before with the device still on but I guess the way this happened was because the device was on...?
