Dropped in bath and nothing works.

Okay so i dropped i pod touch in a bath of water not very high but enough to cover it. I put in a bowl of uncooked rice for 3day's then i tried to turn it on but nothing happened I've opened it up but there wasn't really any damage then i left it alone for about a year until now i plugged it and gave 3 white blinks then nothing happened.I have it opened now Im thinking about replacing the battery or the logic board. If any information please HELP and let me know thank you. Sincerely Isaac

Isaac, two things that will make this a very difficult repair. Number 1 is rice. It absolutely does nothing for you. It only delays repair and will increase the chance of corrosion. Number 2 is that you waited a year. This will further increase corrosion damage. You can try and clean it. Use this guide to see how to clean it. It was written for an iPhone 3G but all the points still pertain to your iPod as well. Here are the guides to work on your iPod. After you have it properly cleaned, replace the battery and reevaluate. Water damage is the hardest to diagnose and the most difficult to repair. Hope this helps, good luck.

depends on where you are located. Try any of the online repair shops. Just be aware that the cost may be higher than the value of your iPod.
