R2 trigger spring question

My R2 trigger is still giving me problems. Basically, whatever game i'm playing, and whatever action is assigned to that button, acts on its own.

I've broke down the controller , following these guides, and everything seems to be in working order. Only thing i can think of is the spring itself is somewhat warped, stretched out of shape , or something along those lines.

Was wondering if there is a picture shot of how the spring should look and if the center (circle in middle of spring) part of the spring is supposed to be snug on the pin is located or if a little play is normal. ?

Can attach pictures if necessary. Thank you in advance for any time taken on this. This website is the best and very informative. Appreciate everyones time and effort. Keep on gaming..

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hey mate, from experience it sounds like bad spring. You'll need to replace it, if you can't stand it acting on its own. You can try salvaging a spring for something else, on a like for like basis or you can buy the springs online.

This is what the spring should look like; http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v1/19040...

And as for the snug question, it should be fairly snug, as too much play means the spring is most likely losing its strength.

Hope this helps you out mate
