Black screen but phone works/ tried hard reset still nothing!

I have a iphone 4 (Verizon). It was lost for a while and we found it but now it has a black screen but functions otherwise fine. You can hold to light and see enough to work it. I have tried all the settings for brightness etc.. I have tried hard reset several times I have replaced it with a new screen and lcd still the same.. Advice please!!

Options

If you have replaced screen and still no brightness then it's the backlight coil that has blown and you will need a new coil soldered in
